Victory in Unfair Competition Case

 

Reilly Pozner LLP is pleased to announce a favorable result for its client, The Variable Annuity Life Insurance Company (VALIC), in an unfair competition matter pending before the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. In a case captioned VALIC v. Molnar, the court granted VALIC's motion for preliminary injunction against Defendant preventing him from violating the non-solicitation and trade secret provisions of his employment contract with VALIC. The Court also ruled in favor of VALIC by denying Defendant’s motion to compel the case into FINRA (formerly NASD) arbitration as well as Defendant's motion to dismiss.
