Jennifer Bulmer

Paralegal

Jenny plays an integral role on the firm’s trial teams, supporting attorneys with legal research, legal writing, preparation of exhibits and day-to-day case management at all phases of complex civil and commercial litigation. At Reilly Pozner, all paralegals are proficient in the use of CT Summation (for litigation support and eDiscovery) and Sanction Legal Presentation software.

Prior to joining Reilly Pozner, Jenny served as in-house litigation paralegal for Aurora Loan Services, a Lehman Brothers company, where she managed an average case load of 120 cases and worked closely with in-house and outside counsel.

In the course of this work, Jenny developed a deep understanding of  the federal laws governing the financial services industry, including TILA, RESPA, FCRA, FDCPA, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Money Laundering Control Act and the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act.

Jenny is certified as a paralegal by the Denver Paralegal Institute (now Kaplan College).  While pursuing this certificate, she was an intern with the Denver Probate Court.  She worked three years as a bankruptcy paralegal with a local law firm.

Jenny holds an undergraduate degree in mathematics, with a probability and statistics emphasis, from the Metropolitan State College of Denver. Before becoming a paralegal, she taught math at Alameda High School. She also coached the girls’ basketball team at Green Mountain High School.

Jenny plays an active role in these cases:

  • Reilly Pozner has been approved by the Lehman Brothers bankruptcy court to act as Lehman’s national coordinating and lead trial counsel in prosecuting claims against mortgage loan originators that sold Lehman defective loans. Jenny is part of the team in this significant representation—involving more than 100 cases in 26 states.
  • “I enjoyed being a math teacher, but after seven years I felt that I needed a new challenge.  A battery of career tests indicated that I would be happiest in the law or as a private investigator.  The tests were right!  Paralegal practice is a good match with my highly organized and detail-oriented skill set and personality—and poses a constant stream of new challenges to keep things interesting.”
